Tonight Brian and I hosted a silent auction and home concert in our home. Sounds fancy, but it's not all that fancy.
It was wonderful though.
I'm pretty close to exhausted, so forgive me if my words lack inspiration.
I'll mostly indulge you with the very few pictures I took.
Jami Smith and her band were here to indulge us in beautiful music. It was truly an incredible evening. Brian and I used to hear Jami worship every Tuesday night at a Young Life ministry that Life Church used to have called Day 3.
Addison (wearing a poodle skirt) and eating a cupcake while listening to Jami. |
The room was so full that the stairs became seats. |
Just enjoying the music. |
What a great night. The main reason everyone joined us was because we held a silent auction for our friends Mike and Ryan Elizabeth McLaughlin.
Tons of people donated items to the auction and we are so thankful to everyone who donated! We could not have done it without you. We were able to raise over $2,000 for the McLaughlin's medical bills. It's not much when it comes to medical bills, but it'll wipe out a decent chunk of the pile. Their sweet Lucy Belle is in the hospital right now and your prayers for healing for Lucy and wisdom for the doctors would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to everyone who joined us.
Jami and her family were such a blessing to all of us tonight.
May her music be a blessing to you tonight as well. Preview her new Christmas album, Joyful Joyful here.
The song below is called Draw Near. It's a beautiful song from her Christmas album titled Hope of All the Earth from 2005.
Download a little music tonight. Be blessed by Jami and her love of Christ.
.....day 119 of a year of writing.....
